Modeling the broad dynamics of a business

A whole-system business simulation is designed to model the broader dynamics of a business system. It typically incorporates market and competitive forces, customer needs, employee performance, and organizational context to create a dynamic business ecosystem.

Decisions made in a whole-system model do not drive a single outcome, but impact a wide range of variables that in turn ultimately impact results along various dimensions.  For example, if a leader makes a business decision to launch a new initiative for his organization, the outcome will be based not only on the decision itself, but also on all other factors that might influence the implementation of that initiative, such as resource limitations; employee workload, training, and motivation; organizational priorities; effective communication, etc.
